Richmond, VA, April 17, 2015 – AdvanceTEC, a leader in cleanroom design, construction and process tool installation, today announced that it has initiated the cleanroom process tool installation for the City University of New York’s (CUNY) Advanced Science Research Center (ASRC). Located on the south end of the City College campus in Upper Manhattan, the ASRC is a part of CUNY’s decade-long, multibillion-dollar commitment to becoming a national leader in visionary scientific research of vital, real-world consequence.
The process tool installation award follows AdvanceTEC’s successful construction completion of ASRC’s cleanroom facilities. AdvanceTEC worked in concert with the full project team, lead by Skanska Building USA, completing the project on time, on budget and surpassing diversity targets for minority participation. AdvanceTEC was selected for the complex process tool installation project following an exhaustive, competitive RFP process that evaluated cost, design approach, and clean construction expertise. Key to the selection was AdvanceTEC’s proven performance during the cleanroom construction phase, exhibited expertise with 3D BIM modeling and coordination, and their superior execution approach to the project. This allowed AdvanceTEC to provide the most competitive proposal and optimal execution plan.
