It seems like a strange list. What could these things really have in common? My answer is that these industries have all faced forces trying to commoditize or homogenize their products and services.
Think about it. Coffee was a commodity a decade ago. Now it is an experience, with a wealth of flavors and options beyond what anyone would have imagined. The story is much the same with craft beers. This trend has turned the big brewing industry on its head, and having a beer has become more than a beverage – it’s become a hobby. Burgers were just burgers a few years ago, with basic toppings and no excitement. Now there are restaurants built around gourmet burgers and endless unique toppings – and they’re not just fast food anymore. Nothing commoditized about any of these industries. They have understood their markets and delivered something that customers wanted – quality.
So what about cleanrooms? Well, more and more we are seeing some in the industry start to think of cleanrooms as nothing more than a commodity. There’s a view that you can just break a cleanroom down to simple a combination of all the parts and just put them together and out comes a cleanroom. But it doesn’t really work that way, at least not if you are concerned about achieving project deadlines, performance parameters, and operational requirements.
AdvanceTEC has decidedly chosen not to become a commodity. We believe in focusing on our clients, understanding their business requirements, and engineering an optimal solution to meet those requirements. We’ve chosen to be accountable to delivering cleanrooms that help our clients succeed, not just parts or pieces for them to coordinate and hope that it all works out. We’ve chosen to be there, to take ownership of challenges that arise and solve them. And we believe that our experienced staff, advanced 3D BIM platform, and open market approach positions AdvanceTEC to do it better than anyone else in the industry. Doesn’t sound like a commodity to me.
So next time you pick up your morning coffee, try a new craft brew, or scarf down a high-end burger – think of AdvanceTEC. Better yet, think of us the next time you start planning a new cleanroom project.
