February 26, 2018
Many mark personal and professional milestones, goals, and measurements with the turning of a new year. Our intentions are to have plans set, in place, and ready to “roll out” as the ball drops and the new year begins, but more often than not, it doesn’t seem to turn out that way. We all know it’s important, but the day to day gets in the way and the task of an annual plan gets pushed aside. So, what if we look at the process differently?
Think about it. What is so different about January 1, 2018 as compared to December 31, 2017? A day, an hour, a second of time? Do customers suddenly want completely different services than they did the day before? Are our tools, technologies, and people suddenly obsolete literally overnight (Y2K excepted)? Do we forget everything we’ve learned and experienced the year before?
Doing the right things day in and day out doesn’t change – and our plan is to keep it up.
At AdvanceTEC, it’s a continuum, not a calendar. I am confident that our approach to our clients, partners, and employees in 2017 was a difference maker. We understand that tools, metrics and systems must continue to improve, evolve, and expand – but wholesale “baby & bathwater” replacements are not needed.
Doing the right things day in and day out doesn’t change – and our plan is to keep it up. We will continue to invest in technology that makes a meaningful impact for our customers success. We will continue to develop the expertise of our team, and strengthen with new talent and fresh ideas. We will continue to offer our customers the best performance at the lowest cost. At its core – our plan is to continue to listen closely to our customers, and provide them what’s needed for their success. We know that if our customers are successful, we will be successful.
So that’s the 2018 Plan. Now it’s time to get back to work.
