January 3, 2017
Now that the holidays are behind us and companies have closed their fiscal years, the natural progression is to focus on the New Year and what must get accomplished in the months ahead. It’s time to get back to work and the business of 2017.
As I talked to friends and family over the holidays, I noticed that things appear to be different this year than in recent years. There is a renewed optimism and a “let’s get something done” mentality as we begin the year. The reasons vary. For some, it’s the natural positivity that comes with the opportunity for a fresh start that the New Year brings, for others it is the Dow reaching for 20,000. But it just feels different to me this year.
In conversations with colleagues in the construction industry, there seems to be more of a bounce in everyone’s step as they start the year. There is a feeling that this will be a year where we will get back to the basics of making things and building things as a country. Whether it’s road and bridges, airports, or advanced cleanroom facilities – we will get to work on getting things done this year.
For AdvanceTEC, 2016 was a good year for our business. We completed some amazing facilities, strengthened our relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and other partners, and invested in technology, training and personnel that has delivered meaningful results for our clients. This is the foundation that we enter 2017 to build upon, and I have no doubt that build we will.
So let’s get started. Let’s roll up our sleeves and see what we can build together. I have no doubt that we can truly make 2017 year of accomplishments.
